Guncats #1

My third review in two weeks over at Impulse Gamer.

GuncatsThis book is a good example of why I started writing reviews over at Impulse Gamer as well as here on my own site.  The opportunity to find something really different and then get to share it.  I literally knew nothing about this book other than the title when I asked to review it.  It was a complete unknown quantity in my eyes and I was hoping to get my hands on something fun.

This book is produced by Action Lab, a publisher that I hadn’t heard of before, and is a fun book.  As the inaugural issue for the series it’s a great jumping on point for new readers, and doesn’t try to do too much at once.  We’re introduced to the female duo of ‘Guncats’ or bounty hunters, see them engage in a successful mission, and watch them celebrate and be offered a new job by a mysterious employer.  The story was simple, yet fun.  I liked both main characters, and found the story to be well paced and easy to get into.  The art was simple, yet effective.  Overall, it was a good book.  If you’re looking to try something new and see it in your local shop or online, pick it up!
